Where does used hydrofracking solution go?

What happens when millions of gallons of toxic hydrofracking waste gush back up out of the earth after being injected? Where does it go after sitting around in pits for a while? Let’s look to Pennsylvania to see what’s happening there: Gas wells’ leftovers may wash into Ohio

    Where does used hydrofracking solution go? Let’s see… take your pick:

    – In the creek when nobody’s looking
    – In a sludge pit as part of a dump and run
    – Who knows, only 2/3 of what we put down the hole comes back anyway

    Oil and gas producers, this time we’re watching.

    It also went through the wastewater treatment facilities in an economically distressed black neighborhood in Chester, PA and residents weren’t at all cool with it and successfully got it shut down. Read more:
